What to expect as a new client

When you first meet with a therapist, you will spend some time getting to know one another. Your therapist will invite you to explain the issues you’re facing. Together you’ll choose shared goals and make a plan for your meetings called a treatment plan. Your therapist will choose an evidence-based treatment model specific to your needs which will guide your sessions. You can expect to learn new skills, develop insight and resiliency so you can enjoy an healthier life.

Logistics

  • Locations: Orrico Hall, Zoom, Off Campus at 1235 SE Morrison, Portland OR

  • Sessions are typically weekly

  • Therapy is a commitment and typically lasts 4-10 sessions or as medically necessary. It’s important that you consider what it would mean for your schedule for you to commit one hour per week regularly. You’ll discuss the best plan for you with your therapist about how many sessions you might benefit from to meet your individual goals.

  • Restore Therapy has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Because we hold our time for you, if we are not given 24 hours notice we will charge you our hourly rate which is not covered by insurance. Credit cards are required on file.
